Phase Preparation of Tables for Data Transfer Aborted

We are trying to perform the solution "Full Transfer of Client-Specific Data for SAP ERP" using the following systems:

 

Control/Central System: NetWeaver 7.3 ABAP instance

Sender System: ECC 6.0 EhP5 IDES

Receiver System: Shell System created from Sender System

 

O/S: Windows 2008 and MSSQL 2008 on all three systems

Kernel: 720 patch 401 on all three systems

 

The activity "Preparation of Tables for Data Transfer" is aborted after a runtime of almost 5 hours. On the Central System, we looked at SM37 and found that the job CNV_MBTCNV_MBT_PEM_START had failed with only "Activity Preparation of Tables for Data Transfer execution 0002 in package 90002, phase TDBAS_PHASE_PACKAGE_SETTINGS has been aborted" as the error message.

 

Does anyone know how else I can troubleshoot this issue?

TDMS Scrambling System Landscape

Hello Friends,

 

Recently we have implemented SPS06 (731) on TDMS 4.0, After this when creating a system landscape, it is causing an error which is kind of not moving/changing/going any where.

 

*** Affected connection from Execution System to Control System with destination MBT_TDM_TDM_700_00_0002_MBT Message no. CNVMBTRFC139"

 

Message: Entry in cnvmbtdest for destination id MBT_TDM_TDM_700_00_0002_MBT and packid ZZZZZ not found"

 

also implemented following notes but to no avail.

0001958541 Issues with special settings in the RFC Management when using

0001962170 Destinations not taken over from system landscape

0001975096 RFC settings changed if no version exists not correct

0001977504 TDMS / LT : Runtime errors caused by huge number of used sessions

 

Let me know if I am still missing something.

HCM errors in phase Identify Objects for Transfer and Start Data Selection.

Hello Colleagues ,

 

Background: We are using TDMS HCM PA PD Expert package to transfer all of the HCM data

 

 

We are using TDMS 4.0 SP 5. We are trying to do the Configuraition in Identify Objects for Transfer and Start Data Selection.. In this phase, we are encountering the issue of 'choose to confirm to trigger data selection'.  The only option in this activit is'confirm batch' and 'confirm online'. Even if we press the button, we are still encountering issues. What selections then or values can we use?Thank you. Kindly see screen shot

Problems of HCM Step "Define Target Areas for Users"

Dear experts,

 

ERP Initial Package for HCM Personnel Dev. PD & PA

 

-> Configuration and Selection -> Customizing -> Define Target Areas for Users.   I don't understand the usage of this step.

 

(1) Is the value range used to select the data in the sender system ?

(2) Do I need to define one target area for each object type?

(3) If don't maintain all the object types, what will happen to the object types not maintianed here?

(4) When can I find a the list of all the object types?

mapping types not exist in TDMS HCM 4.0

We are implementing SAP TDMS HCM 4.0 and we have a problem, mapping types not exist so, we can´t make the scrambling. Any idea?

 

The SP03 is implementing.

 

An OSS message are open for this problem.

I have one question if you can answer .

 

we are using TDMS to transfer data or refreshing data with specific dates right ?

 

now scenario is we have multiple company code and we need to copy only one company code data plus config from source to new destination client.

 

Is it possible in TDMS ?

Problems with verification of Execution system

Hi, everyone!

 

We are new with TDMS. We have started configuring it a week ago.

 

The problem is following,  we have to do a Stand-alone Scrambling.

RFC connection, system Landscape, Project template, Project and Package were created. But the activities doesn’t execute. Please see screenshots

If I try to execute “Verification of Execution System” – nothing happens and the next activity cannot be executed

Could you please advise us, what can be a reason in this case and how this can be solved?

Standard solution categories and scrambling types are not being populated

Hi All,

 

Recently our TDMS system was created. When I tried to create a new scrambling rule, I couldn't see any solution categories (SAP ERP, SAP HCM etc) and also now able to see any standard scrambling types ( fixed value etc).

 

Do we need to apply any note/ do anything to get these standard values??

 

Please let me know.

TDMS data scrambling error: phase of the program is different than active phase of the project

Hello Colleagues,

 

wE are running TDMS 4.0, We  have been stuck at this phase in TDMS for the 'Start Data Scrambling /Convertion' for our activity. When trying to click on execute button of the said phase in the process tree, we are getting the error attached. I have searched for other KBA's as well as sapnotes for the error message number but there is no documentations for that error. I would like to ask if any of you have exprerience this error specifically when trying to do a scrammbling activity in TDMS? The error is unknown to us.

Some task files are empty in USER1 .

Hi,

 

we are trying to setup a new system by shell-creation.

 

So far we did prepare the target-system by installing the Database,

giving the os-users of sender and tdms-central-system all rights on the

target.

 

On the sender, we did create the control-files by running r3ctrl and setting up

the folders SAPINST and EXPORT.

 

In TDMS we did define the sender and the central-system as well as entering

the target-database and the SAPINST-folder (on the sender-system).

 

Now we have a problem understanding what to do next.

Where do we tell TDMS where the target is?

In the dialog where RFC-connections are created, we can only define a

SAP-system as receiver. As there is no SAP-System for the shell-creation,

this dialogue does not seem the be the right way.

 

When we try to run the shell-creation without a receiver, we get two errors.

The first one in the step "Determine Tables to be Excluded from the Export"

Some task files are empty in USER1 .

And the second one in "Modify Control Files with Exclude Table Information" 

// Permission denied

TDMS implementation details

Dear Techies,

 

One of my client want to implement TDMS in their landscape. Database size is around 2TB and they have 3 systems Dev,QAs and Pro.

 

1) Is it to be implemented(New addon installation) in all 3 systems?

2)As per install guide 20 GB freesapce required, is it applicable for 3 systems?

3)What about the license cost?(we are on SAP 4.7EE SP1)

4)Can we have the option full QAS refresh(If any time) after implemnting TDMS?

5) If iam copying data from source to target(after implementation) is there any downtime required?

TDMS: Locking users in all clinets of Receiver System

Taking outage on Development system during week day is a bit hard, what are the chances of performing Data Transfer phase with out locking users in other clients. Is it manadatory to lock users in other clients of receiver system while the data transfer is goingon?

 

At our company DEV 100 is development client and DEV 040 is unit test client and I am trying to refresh DEV 900 from production using TDMS(Time Based). So during Data Transfer phase do I need to lock users in all other clients(100 & 040)? Locking users in client 900 is possible any time but locking users in other development clients is possible only during weekend.

 

If anyone had go through similar landscape or experienced similar issue please let me know ASAP.

"Start Deletion of Data in Receiver System" does not start

I faced the problem tha data deletion in Receiver system is not started in TDTIM synario.

 

I started the activity "Start Deletion of Data in Receiver System" , the job "CNV_TDMS_09_RESTART_JOBS" is aborted till the job "CNV_MBT_CNV_TDMS_09_START_JOBS" is over in Receiver System.

The error message is "No log was created for object CAGTFBS and sub-objekt SLOMBT".

 

After The job "CNV_MBT_CNV_TDMS_09_START_JOBS" is over, the job  "CNV_TDMS_09_RESTART_JOBS" is finished normaly but the no deletion job is released.

 

I carried out some deletion job by manual operation but other deletion job is not released.

 

Does Anyone knows the solution of this problem ?

 

Version:TDMS3.0 SP17

HR Data Scrambling

Hi,

 

I have a ECC ABAP only Quality system which was restored from a simple DB restore methodology. Now my client has asked me to go for HR data scrambling on the system using TDMS.

 

My concern is that whether I can directly create a HR related TDMS package and start the scrambling or should I have to go for a time slice first and then HR data scrambling. Basically I wanted to understand the in and out of HR data scrambling.

 

Please help me in understanding this also help with some HR data scrambling guides for TDMS 3.0.

Dear Gurus,

 

Kindly help me out to install TDMS 3.0 by answering followings in elaborated manner:-

 

1. Can I install Central server TDMS in solman ?

2. Is it required to install DMIS and DMIS_CNT in all the involved systems including Solution Manager (if central server is solution manager)

3. Please send the link for downloding DMIS and DMIS_CNT from SAP market place.

4. Will DMIS_2006_1_700 and DMIS_CNT_ 2006_1_700 be applicable for SAP BASIS 701 (level 0007) ?

5. Kindly provide guide fo rthe same.

we do not have TDMS data scrambling expert and we are looking for the best data scrambling approach should be chosen if we are going to copy the sensitive data, which have been identified already, from production to TDMS server.
