TDMS 3.0 Installation
Hi Folks,
I'm new to TDMS. We are going to install it in our systems. Till now what i bag the info regarding TDMS is like
Eg: Central/Control system = TDMS
Sender System = ECC 6.0
Receiver = Solution Manager ( I'm Not sure of the version )
OS is Windows 2008 R2 : DB is MS Sql 2008
I refered so many guides regarding TDMS Installation in SMP . Its bit confusing for me.
Can any TDMS Gurus please eloborate the process how to start from first to last. Or else is there any step by step

TDMS "sell"
Hi Folks - I am pretty new to TDMS. While I understand the basics.....when comparing this type of tool to what we traditional use to refresh/transfer data to target systems (full DB refresh)........I have one concern which I am not quite sure how easy/realistic it is to overcome it.
- W/ full DB refresh process - we KNOW that end users in the target environment are getting exact copy of PROD....so it's got ALL the data they need to test w/, and nothing will be missed in the testing process due to the data not being there/etc.
- But w/ TDMS employed to build out the target boxes, it seems like the quality of testing is only going to be good if people using the tool know exactly what data they need on the target to test w/, and no how to make sure it gets copied there. So in other words, if their "subset" of data is 1% of the whole DB size, they are POSITIVE that this 1% is ALL they need refreshed to the target ----- that they are SURE, that NOTHING else is needed to make their testing valid. And I would question whether the average tester has this grand understanding of all the data in the 30-50k tables/etc in the DB. To know all the interdependencies involved/etc.

Destination for sender system is not found
Hi Friends,
I have created a project for System shell creation for ERP, facing erorr : Destination for sender system is not found when i execute activity Modification of control files to exclude tables.
Status of system landscape used for this project is consistent, no error in RFC destination.
Note: My sender system and control system of TDMS are same system with same client. Did anyone faced this issue.

NMI_CONT 2006_1_700
Hi experts,
I need to apply NMI_CONT 2006_1_700 add-on on ECC EHP 3 (SAP_APPL 603).
And its dependency is DMIS 2011_1_700, But when i am apply it it saying error as "DMIS 2006_1_700 NON PERMITTED RELEASE ADD-ON DMIS"
Already i have applied add-on DMIS_2011_1_700 then too its is showing above error.

TSV_TNEW_BLOCKS_NO_ROLL_MEMORY
Hi ,
We are refreshing our ECC quality client with ECC prod client using TDMS.
We are at activity “Exclusion of User Administration Tables from Data Transfer” .The execution is terminating and we are getting dumps in sender system“TSV_TNEW_BLOCKS_NO_ROLL_MEMORY” .
I had included ERP HCM objects during earlier phase.
My system has this level of DMIS_CNT :- SAPK-11304INDMISCNT.
Not 100% sure if SAP NOTE 1828367 is solution for me.
Has anyone faced this issue before.

TDMS functionality question - Time slice scenario
Dear Experts,
I like to ask few questions on TDMS functionality related to Time slice scenario.
- Does TDMS time-based slice run include attachments? We have lot of attachment in DMS_CONT1_CD1 table and SOFFCONT1 table. Does attachment data will be trasferred to Receiver system based on time slice scenario?
- What tables/data is excluded in TDMS time-base slice scenario run?
- Can I use existing PRD System to run tim-base slice run to create receive system?
- How much (estimate/rough/approx.) time does a typical TDMS time based slice run takes for 12 months of data from source/Sender system size 2.5 TB?

Inconsistency with address
Hi all,
After succesfully finishing a time based reduction scenario, including postprocessing, I get the error "Inconsistency with address (Address doesn't exist 25205)" when using SU01.
An earlier thread mentions note 450176 (Correction report for the USCOMPANY table) but this is only valid to 640 and we are running ECC 6.0.
Any suggestions?

The idea to scramble sensitive data is to replace the original data with non-sense data in some tables' fields.
Therefore is there any standard code to do it with the least coding effort?

TDMS step - Export data to files - runtime error
We are in process of doing TDMS data transfer for Material BOM data related to a specific plant using Data Import Through Files for SAP ERP template and we are using Business process modeler BC- Material BOM for this.
At the step Export data to files we are getting runtime error CALL_FUNCTION_REMOTE_ERROR with Short text
as "No more storage space available for extending an internal table." in control/central system.
Further details are -
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLCNV_MBT_DEX" - in
"CNV_MBT_DEX_TABSTRUC_FILL".
The main program was "CNV_MBT_DEX_EXP_DATA_EXT_SUB ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 80
of the (Include) program "LCNV_MBT_DEXU31".
The program "SAPLCNV_MBT_DEX" was started as a background job.
Job Name....... "DEX_EXP_TDM9000K_C_000001"
Job Initiator.. "SROLLA"
Job Number..... 16090400
In the sender system the corresponding runtime error is -
TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED with short text as "No more storage space available for extending an internal table."
Error analysis
The internal table "\FUNCTION-POOL=CNV_MBT_ANALYSIS\FORM=CNV_MBT_DD_GET\DATA=%_
%_ET_DD03L" could not be further extended. To enable
error handling, the table had to be delete before this log was written.
As a result, the table is displayed further down or, if you branch to
the ABAP Debugger, with 0 rows.
At the time of the termination, the following data was determined for
the relevant internal table:
Memory location: "Session memory"
Row width: 594
Number of rows: 6555552
Allocated rows: 6555552
Newly requested rows: 16 (in 1 blocks)
How to correct the error
The amount of storage space (in bytes) filled at termination time was:

If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED" " "
"SAPLCNV_MBT_ANALYSIS" or "LCNV_MBT_ANALYSISU01"
"CNV_MBT_DD_GET"
However there is no SAP Note that helped to resolve this error, moreover we have increased all memory profile parameter values in sender and central /control system.

Where can I find the logic that lays behind the copy filter
Hello people
One colleague of mine is asking me why a specific contract number was not copied after a TDTIM copy.
The first answer that came to my mind was “because of the time slice parameter”
But if I look at the records on table EKKO I find lots of contracts older that the “missing” one.
So, my question is: Where can I find the logic that lays behind the copy filter?
This is as far as I could get:
I know that the migration object name is E4_EKKO (or at least I suppose so).
Then via transaction cnv_mbt_menu I found the report CNVMBTSELREF
But I wasn’t able to find anything related to EKKO.
So, my question is: How can I find the filtering criteria used during the TDTIM copies for a certain table?

TDMS _ BPL- Data transfer start - activity in error
Dear All,
I'm trying to execute a BPL scenario.
I have selected the purchase order object with a selection on company code and data of creation of purchase order.
I did not have any issue except during the Data Transfer Step.
This step has finished with "Error Status", mainly for duplicate key error.
So i have executed the Troubleshooting activity, (change write behavior step)
Badly, there still an issue:

Run *********** resulted in duplicates at modify for unique secondary index.

Standard solution categories and scrambling types are not being populated
Hi All,
Recently our TDMS system was created. When I tried to create a new scrambling rule, I couldn't see any solution categories (SAP ERP, SAP HCM etc) and also now able to see any standard scrambling types ( fixed value etc).
Do we need to apply any note/ do anything to get these standard values??

SAP TDMS - Infotype changed and giving an error on import
Hi all,
I have the following situation.
In a working SAP TDMS 4 HCM Scramble setup one of my colleagues had to add extra fields to an infotype.
The issue i'm having now is that for this infotype the import is failing because of "Wrong structure in IMPORT statement for structure".
I checked it and the structure is the same and active on all systems.
Is there a way to 'regenerate' the export structure?
Where and how do I do/select/find this?

Package sharing with Users
Hello Expert Zone,
I have some packages created by other users and want to access the same package to look into the status/progress of processes executed.
When I try to access a package it gave me a message "PCL Tree cannot be opened. User xxx is not assigned to the package".
So, the question would be , how do someone assign a package created by him/her to another user.

Long runtime for VBUK_2 header table update
Hi Team,
We are currenlty performing a time based reduction scenario to build
our pre-production system from a staging server(copy of production).
We are stuck up with Issue where updation for VBUK_2 has been taking
longtime .This step started on 26th january and it is still running (50
hours ) but this doesnt seem to complete now
We have set all the required parameters for increasing the performace of fill header as below
We also have created an index ZM1 to include below values for VBFA as per note 1256679
MANDT
VBELN
VBELV
POSNV
No change was observerd after above activity.Attached image has the parameter settings
Please suggest if there is any other parameter/settign that needs to be done to improve performance

Note:Same refresh activity was performed last year when source DB size was 4.6 TB now it is 5.2 TB
last time it completed in 16 hrs but now it has been running from past 4 days still not yet completed
It seems to be that data has been split into 5549 portions and job is filling data for each partition .But once the portion is imported it is again scanning the rest of the entries in sequence and once it reaches next portion(1213) then the import is being completed.We cancelled the above run as well.For each portion it was taking 10 minutes .After updating DB stats for cluster table it improved a bit but not sufficient.If I calculate based on above portions and time taken it is still needing 95 hrs approx. to complete the fill header .
So we changed Settings present for FILL VBUK_2.Previosusly there were different settings we changed P_PARA to 8 from4 and P_SELECT=R from FULL.

TDMS Scrambling System Landscape
Hello Friends,
Recently we have implemented SPS06 (731) on TDMS 4.0, After this when creating a system landscape, it is causing an error which is kind of not moving/changing/going any where.

Message: Entry in cnvmbtdest for destination id MBT_TDM_TDM_700_00_0002_MBT and packid ZZZZZ not found"
also implemented following notes but to no avail.
0001958541 Issues with special settings in the RFC Management when using
0001962170 Destinations not taken over from system landscape
0001975096 RFC settings changed if no version exists not correct
0001977504 TDMS / LT : Runtime errors caused by huge number of used sessions
Let me know if I am still missing something.
