We have copied 1 year data, but the equipment object status tables JEST and JSTO both as data for less that 6 months mainly for object category IEQ (which is equipment).

Please help us to figure out any criteria that may result into this situation.

We are in process of doing TDMS data transfer for Material BOM data related to a specific plant using Data Import Through Files for SAP ERP template and we are using Business process modeler BC- Material BOM for this.

At the step Export data to files we are getting runtime error CALL_FUNCTION_REMOTE_ERROR with Short text
as "No more storage space available for extending an internal table." in control/central system.
Further details are -
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLCNV_MBT_DEX" - in
"CNV_MBT_DEX_TABSTRUC_FILL".
The main program was "CNV_MBT_DEX_EXP_DATA_EXT_SUB ".

In the source code you have the termination point in line 80
of the (Include) program "LCNV_MBT_DEXU31".
The program "SAPLCNV_MBT_DEX" was started as a background job.
Job Name....... "DEX_EXP_TDM9000K_C_000001"
Job Initiator.. "SROLLA"
Job Number..... 16090400

In the sender system the corresponding runtime error is -

TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED with short text as "No more storage space available for extending an internal table."
Error analysis
    The internal table "\FUNCTION-POOL=CNV_MBT_ANALYSIS\FORM=CNV_MBT_DD_GET\DATA=%_
    %_ET_DD03L" could not be further extended. To enable
    error handling, the table had to be delete before this log was written.
    As a result, the table is displayed further down or, if you branch to
    the ABAP Debugger, with 0 rows.

At the time of the termination, the following data was determined for
the relevant internal table:

    Memory location: "Session memory"
    Row width: 594
    Number of rows: 6555552
    Allocated rows: 6555552
    Newly requested rows: 16 (in 1 blocks)

How to correct the error
The amount of storage space (in bytes) filled at termination time was:

    Roll area...................... 5220352
    Extended memory (EM)........... 2002743520
    Assigned memory (HEAP)......... 2000763072
    Short area..................... " "
    Paging area.................... 0
    Maximum address space.......... " "

    If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
    find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
    If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
    keywords:

    "TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED" " "
    "SAPLCNV_MBT_ANALYSIS" or "LCNV_MBT_ANALYSISU01"
    "CNV_MBT_DD_GET"

However there is no SAP Note that helped to resolve this error, moreover we have increased all memory profile parameter values in sender and central /control system.

We are implementing TDMS 4.0 SP04 for data migration.

I have created project and Templates but in step package creation facing issues.

When i execute "Include/Exclude SAP ERP HCM Objects" and select "Include SAP HCM Tables" nothing happen.

The same result for "Preparation of Tables for Data Transfer"

The user in which i am executing is having SAP_ALL and ALL TDMS Composite roles.

Hi,

I have a ECC ABAP only Quality system which was restored from a simple DB restore methodology. Now my client has asked me to go for HR data scrambling on the system using TDMS.

My concern is that whether I can directly create a HR related TDMS package and start the scrambling or should I have to go for a time slice first and then HR data scrambling. Basically I wanted to understand the in and out of HR data scrambling.

Please help me in understanding this also help with some HR data scrambling guides for TDMS 3.0.

Hi All,

We are running TDMS copy, currently running at System Analysis phase, however we encountered status message "completed with error" within sub-step "Generation of Run-Time Objects for Data Transfer". When we checked the tasks, we found below error messages...

Error while generating runtime objects for ZJ_3RFREP_VALFMT_01W

Syntax error in function module /1CADMC/OLC_950000000614930

Error message: Type "DECFLOAT16" is unknown

We tried re-executing the step several times but no success.

Can anybody suggest how to fix the issue. Thanks.

Hello, I have a problem in TDMS in the Phase Data Transfer.

For 2 weeks has been in processes this phase, it concluded with finishing with error RFC in 12 tables, but the RFC is fine so i thought maybe the problem is with the duplicated key thing.

First i read the note 1366729 - TDMS data transfer error: duplicate keys for many objects, so i created the program report and executed it, but after searching in sdn forums, i pumped up with this link TDMS Data Transfer Problem

so i decided to kill the process and changed the write behaviour from Array-insert to Modify like global parameters for the remaining tables. I executed the phase Data Transfer again and it shows me that the total of tables is 1400 and have not being created or processed.

what happened ? I don't understand how from 14120 tables and remained 12 tables it came this situation. Even if i change the write behaviour to array-insert, modify or Single Insert. And what about the write beaviour Dynamiv Single insert or Sum-up, can they be usefull?

Please, any thoughts, any advices?

Dear Experts ,

We are doing hardware migration along with unicode conversion using export & import with out table spiltting but 2 packages ( SAPAPPL , SAPCUST) alone SAPAPPL package was take more then 36 hrs . The source system database size is 1.2 TB.

The Installtion Master is not having TABLE spiltting option .

Kindly let me know , how can I approach in this situation .

My client has a requirement to configure a package which will have a selection criteria for choosing one or several(maximum 10-15) employee data to be transferred to Receiver System.

I have chosen the migration solution "Transfer of PD and PA Data for SAP ERP HCM" for this. The selection criteria will be for one or more Personnel numbers.

Please guide me through the next steps to be followed in this regard.

Hello TDMS gurus - Currently I am working on TDMS 4.0 project for utilities and refreshed training from Production using solution "Time slice Object Based Reduction for SAP utilities". I am looking for few clarifications on TDMS, would appreciate your feedback.

1.) Considering that data will be changing constantly in both sender and receiver systems, is there any way from TDMS standpoint to keep receiver system in sync with sender (sort of delta refresh, overwriting receiver systems with just only updated data since last refresh) instead of again starting from scratch (i.e. performing full system copy or running time slice data transfer for all objects again)?.

2.) When we start TDMS refresh, I know it deletes existing data in receiver system before it starts loading new data. Does TDMS deletes all of the old data in the tables or just the data that is being transferred will be deleted from receiver system tables?.

3.) Assuming it deletes only the data that is being transferred, if so, does it deletes all data on the table or only transferred data on the table is deleted?. This makes huge difference on TDMS runtime especially with huge tables.

4.) During TDMS activities there are tons of archive logs files being generated on database which obviously causes performance bottlenecks especially while running in production. SAP recommended to disable archive logging to minimize performance impacts but unfortunately we can't do this due to DR reasons. Are there any other best practices on how to get around this?.

Hi fellow SDN members,

Under "Data Transfer" phase, most of the activities have successfully executed. The issue is:

1. One of the activity"Start Data Selection for Header Tables" is taking very long to time,infact it has been more than 24 hours with same state. When I click on the Tasks icon next to the activity, I can see that out of 97 sub-activities, 95 have been completed where as it is showing 2 activities as "not yet started". this has been the state for more than 24 hours.

2. Another activity "Start Data Transfer" has been aborted. On clicking the Tasks icon ,the subactivities state is shown as

out of 21,927 sub-activities, 21,916 have completed successfully,

9 are "Completed with error"

2 are "not yet started"

I have executed this activity three times, but the sub-activities state has been the same.

Please suggest on these issues.

HOT FIX for DMIS_2011 SP05

Due to technical
reasons, make sure that SAP Note 1817467 (related to SAP_BASIS) is applied before installing DMIS_2011 SP05 in any SAP system with SAP_BASIS 7.00 (or higher) – most important in all productive SAP systems! If this is not possible, consider SAP Note 1899578 as an alternative solution. This is relevant for new installations and upgrade to DMIS_2011 SP05.

Note: this hot fix does not fix any issue related to SAP LT Replication Server 2.0 (or other DMIS based applications such
as SAP LT 2.0 and SAP TDMS 4.0).

It prevents a potential disruptive impact on SAP NW based applications and functions (using function module RSC1_TRFC_QUEUE_WRITE in the context of SAP BW Delta Queue)!
